Grounded Base Building That Survives the Night
Your first lean-to looks cute until ants chew through it. Good bases need height, sturdy materials, and a plan for wolf spider patrols. Cheats can spawn walls — skill still decides layout.
Foundations and height matter
Build on clay or use foundations so grass stems do not poke through floors. Lift the base on stilts so ground hunters struggle to path inside. Leave room for zip lines and water jars.
Spawn grass planks and weed stems if farming slows you — mod menu item spawns help mega builds.
Defense without paranoia
Spike strips and windows slow spiders. Lights help you see orb weavers at dusk. In co-op, split builder duty — one farms, one crafts, one patrols.
Pair building sessions with vanilla play for balance. Use spawn items only for big projects.
